Solar Cooker (prototype)

Solar cooker

Experimental solar cooker made from an insulated box (insulated with Celotex insulation board) 4ft long by 2ft deep and 2ft high. Glazed with a double glazed panel scrounged a skip from a window firm in the industrial estate.  At the moment used for drying meat (for the dog) and heating water.  More information on its performance and developments as they happen.

Some temperatures logged on a sunny day:
Temperature in cooker about 75 degrees C
Water temperature in black kettle 55 degrees C,
Water temperature in silver kettle 45 degrees C,
I will try adding another double glazed panel to make it quad glazed and see the temperature change
